For the second week in a row, the PGA Tour had a winner raise the trophy after a five-year drought. This time, it was Jason Day — the 35-year old Australian — who secured his 13th victory overall on the PGA Tour and first since 2018.

With his mother’s maiden name on his caddie bib, Day turned back the clock, and produced a magnificent performance on Mother’s Day — honoring his influential mother who recently passed away in a battle with cancer.

The victory jumped him 15 spots in the Official World Golf Rankings, as well as vaulting him into 5th place in the PGA Tour FedEx Cup Playoff standings. Day will look to win his second career major this week at the PGA Championship.
