SUB 60 HEADLINES

Jacob Bridgeman won the Genesis Invitational at Riviera Country Club for his first career PGA Tour title — but not before nearly giving away one of the biggest leads we've seen all season. The 26-year-old South Carolina native built a six-shot lead through 54 holes after rounds of 66-64-64, then stretched it to seven early on Sunday.
What followed was a white-knuckle back nine: Bridgeman went birdie-less over his final 15 holes and shot a shaky 1-over 72, while Rory McIlroy birdied two of his last three and Kurt Kitayama fired a scorching 64.
Standing on the 72nd green needing two putts from 16 feet to win, Bridgeman rolled his first putt three feet past — then sank the comebacker for par to win by one at 18-under 266, earning $4 million from the $20M purse. Tournament host Tiger Woods told him at the ceremony: "You've got one on me" — a nod to never having won at his childhood course. Bridgeman jumped from 52nd to No. 20 in the world.
Over on the LPGA Tour, World No. 1 Jeeno Thitikul captured the Honda LPGA Thailand at 24-under 264, one shot clear of Japan's Chizzy Iwai. It was Thitikul's eighth career LPGA win and her first-ever victory on home soil. Her mother — who only watches her play in person once a year at this event — was inside the ropes, and both were in tears on the 18th green. Thitikul took home $270,000 from the $1.8M purse.
SURVIVING RIVIERA
Bridgeman's win at a Signature Event on his Riviera debut is the stuff dreams are made of — even if Sunday's round felt more like a nightmare. He became the first player since Pat Fitzsimons in 1975 to win this event on his first trip to Riv, and the first first-time PGA Tour winner of 2026.
Meanwhile, 45-year-old Adam Scott shot two rounds of 63 (Rounds 2 and 4) on a sponsor exemption to grab solo fourth, and Scottie Scheffler's 18-event PGA Tour top-10 streak came to an end with a T12 finish.
NEXT ON THE TEE: THE FLORIDA SWING
The PGA Tour kicks off the Florida Swing at the Cognizant Classic in The Palm Beaches (Feb 26–Mar 1) at PGA National Resort's Champion Course. Joe Highsmith defends, and the $9.6M purse is up for grabs — though the field is lighter with no top-20 OWGR players committed.
Brooks Koepka makes his third PGA Tour start since returning from LIV, and Shane Lowry is the betting favorite. The LPGA heads to Singapore for the HSBC Women's World Championship, while LIV Golf and Champions Tour are both off again.
