Kurt Kitayama turned family emergency into victory gold at the 3M Open, claiming his second PGA Tour title at 23-under with brother Daniel on the bag. After his regular caddie departed for Bryson DeChambeau's team, the last-minute sibling partnership proved magical at TPC Twin Cities.

Kitayama's weekend was sublime - a career-low 60 on Saturday followed by Sunday's 65 to win by one shot over Sam Stevens. He went on to make 20 birdies for the tournament, the most by a PGA Tour player in over 20 years. The $1,512,000 payday moved him from 110th to 53rd in FedEx Cup standings, securing his playoff spot with just the Wyndham Championship remaining.

Joaquin Niemann continued his LIV Golf demolition at JCB Golf & Country Club, capturing his record seventh LIV title and fifth of 2025 at 17-under. The Chilean's $4 million payday pushes his season earnings past $21 million - more than Scottie Scheffler's PGA Tour total.

FAIRY TALE IN SCOTLAND

Lottie Woad achieved golf immortality by winning the ISPS Handa Women's Scottish Open in her professional debut - a feat so rare that NBC switched from streaming to linear television mid-tournament.

The 21-year-old Englishwoman dominated Dundonald Links at 21-under, earning $300,000 and full LPGA membership while becoming just the second player in three years to win their pro debut.

The moment was purely cinematic. Woad's wire-to-wire victory showcased remarkable composure, leading by three over Hyo Joo Kim with rounds of 67-65-67-68. Her achievement immediately made her the betting favorite for next week's AIG Women's Open at Royal Porthcawl.

PREVIEW: CHAMPIONSHIP SUNDAY APPROACHES

Two major storylines dominate the upcoming week. The Wyndham Championship at Sedgefield Country Club serves as the PGA Tour's regular season finale, with Aaron Rai defending and players battling for the top-70 FedEx Cup playoff cutoff.

Meanwhile, the AIG Women's Open brings major championship golf to Wales for the first time, featuring defending champion Lydia Ko and a field led by World No. 1 Nelly Korda.
