It was a family affair in the Crescent City. Matt and Alex Fitzpatrick became the first brothers to ever win a PGA Tour event, closing out the Zurich Classic of New Orleans with a walk-off birdie on 18 at TPC Louisiana. The English siblings finished at -31 — one shot clear of two teams at -30 — to split a $2,745,500 winner's check.

The road wasn't smooth. The Fitzpatricks led by four heading into Sunday's alternate-shot round, then gave most of it back with a double on 12 and bogey on 14. But Matt stuck a bunker shot to 14 inches on the last hole, Alex tapped in, and the tournament was theirs. Saturday's four-ball 57 (-15) had set a new Zurich Classic record, so the brothers earned their drama on both ends. The win gives Matt three victories in his last four starts — he also won the RBC Heritage the week prior — and he also earns a spot in the 2026 PGA Championship.

For Alex, it was a life-changing week. The 27-year-old had been based on the DP World Tour, entering Zurich on a sponsor exemption with no PGA Tour status to his name. The win changed all of that in one afternoon — full PGA Tour membership through 2028, plus automatic spots in the PGA Championship, the Cadillac Championship, and next year's Players Championship. When Amanda Balionis asked him on the 18th green if he'd be accepting his Tour card, he said he would "as quick as I could." Good call.

3X MAJOR CHAMP

Nelly Korda reminded everyone why she's the best player in women's golf. The American dominated the Chevron Championship at Memorial Park in Houston, leading wire-to-wire and pulling away by five shots at -18 — the largest winning margin at the Chevron in 18 years. Ruoning Yin and Patty Tavatanakit tied for second at -13.

The win — Korda's third major and 17th LPGA title — came with a $1,350,000 check and returned her to World No. 1. After going winless all of 2025, she now has two wins in 2026. She's back.

BLUE MONSTER UP NEXT

The PGA Tour heads to Trump National Doral in Miami for the inaugural Cadillac Championship (April 30 – May 3), a Signature Event with a $20 million purse and 700 FedExCup points.

The Blue Monster is back on the PGA Tour schedule for the first time since 2016. Scottie Scheffler leads a 72-player no-cut field alongside Cameron Young, Justin Rose, Collin Morikawa, and Tommy Fleetwood. The notable absence: Rory McIlroy, who is skipping his second straight Signature Event since winning the Masters. With Scheffler still looking for his first 2026 win, Doral is shaping up as must-watch golf.
