Finally! Schenk Breaks Through In Bermuda Hurricane

Adam Schenk wins in 243rd try while Cink completes Champions sweep and Grant goes bogey-free

November 18, 2025

SUB 60 HEADLINES

After 243 career starts and facing the end of his PGA Tour career, Adam Schenk finally broke through at the Butterfield Bermuda Championship. The 33-year-old survived brutal 40-mph winds at Port Royal Golf Course, closing with an even-par 71 to finish 12-under and edge Chandler Phillips by one stroke. Schenk earned $1.08 million from the $6 million purse and secured his card through 2027, avoiding Q-School by two weeks.

The conditions were absurd. Players needed 5-irons from 131 yards. Schenk wore the same stained sweater for 90 percent of his holes. He even experimented with one-handed putting.

"I really didn't think this moment would come," Schenk said after draining a 5-footer for par on 18 to seal his first victory. The win vaulted him from 134th to 67th in FedEx Cup Fall standings with one event remaining.

Over on the LPGA Tour, Sweden's Linn Grant cruised to victory at The Annika driven by Gainbridge in Florida. Grant fired a final-round 65 to finish 19-under, defeating Jennifer Kupcho by three shots. The performance included an incredible 52 consecutive holes without a bogey before her only mistake on the final hole with the tournament secured. Grant earned $487,500 and her second career LPGA title in front of tournament host Annika Sorenstam at Pelican Golf Club.

CINK CAPS HISTORIC CHAMPIONS DEBUT

Stewart Cink accomplished something only three other players have done on PGA Tour Champions: win both the Charles Schwab Cup Championship and the season-long points title in the same year. The 52-year-old closed with a bogey-free 67 at Phoenix Country Club to finish 20-under, two clear of Steven Alker. Cink earned $528,000 for the tournament win plus a $1 million bonus for the season title.

The victory capped a dominant first full season on the senior circuit with three wins in 36 starts. He joined Tom Watson, Tom Lehman, and Kevin Sutherland as the only players to complete the double.

TOUR CARD CHAOS AHEAD AT SEA ISLAND

The RSM Classic (November 20-23) at Sea Island serves as the final event of the fall season, but this year carries unprecedented stakes. New Tour regulations mean only the top 100 in FedEx Cup Fall standings receive full status for 2026—down from 125.

Players ranked 101-125 get conditional status with limited starts. Defending champion Maverick McNealy headlines a field desperate to secure playing privileges, with multiple players currently on the bubble needing strong performances to guarantee their 2026 cards.
