Austin Eckroat wins the World Wide Technology Championship with an incredible 11-birdie round, shooting a nine-under 63 on Sunday to finish at 24-under par. Wondering how he stayed focused heading into Sunday’s final round? By playing Call of Duty apparently.

“Play some more video games. That’s how I kind of take my mind off things — you can’t think about anything else. “They came out with a new ‘Call of Duty’ — that’s been my obsession of recent”.

Despite a bogey on the 18th hole, he held off Justin Lower and Carson Young, who finished one shot behind at 23-under. This win caps a breakthrough year for the 25-year-old, marking his second tour victory and positioning him as a rising star to look for in the 2025 season.

LANGER’S WIN STREAK BECOMES EVEN LONGER

At the young age of 67 Bernhard Langer scores below his age on Sunday to secure the victory at the Charles Schwab Cup Championship to extend his streak of at least one title on the PGA Tour Champions’ Circuit each year for 18 years consecutive years. To add this amazing feat, he has now won at the professional level for 41 of the last 47 years!

Langer had to overcome a devastating torn achilles injury he sustained earlier in the year, but managed to fight back and ultimately put himself in a position to sink the 35-footer to oust Richard Green and Steven Alker by 1 stroke. Hats off to the German! 🇩🇪
