The 35-year-old from Northern Ireland outlasted Justin Rose in a sudden-death playoff on Sunday at Augusta National. McIlroy’s final round was a rollercoaster; he started with a double bogey, surged to a four-shot lead, but faltered with a double bogey on the 13th and a bogey on the 18th, finishing at 11-under 277 alongside Rose.
This will go down as one of the greatest shots in Masters history. Clutch stuff from Rory Mcilroy.
