Chris Kirk secured a 1-shot victory at The Sentry tournament Sunday, finishing at 29 under par after a remarkable performance at Kapalua's Plantation course. Despite strong competition, Kirk maintained composure and sealed the win with a final-round score of 65, including an incredible tap-in birdie on 17.
His win marked his sixth career PGA Tour title and came in his first attempt back at the year-opening event in eight years. Kirk's resurgence in golf follows a challenging period when he dealt with alcoholism, and his Palm Beach victory last spring propelled him into the top 50 of the FedEx Cup standings.
The challenging conditions at Kapalua, with a historic low-scoring average of 66.7 on Sunday, added to the intensity of the competition. Jordan Spieth and Sahith Theegala were strong contenders, but Kirk's consistent performance prevailed and secured him the $3.6 million first-place prize.
JUST DID IT: TIGER AND NIKE END PARTNERSHIP
Salt and Pepper. Peanut Butter and Jelly. Batman and Robin. Tiger and Nike. Legendary pairings that are seemingly inseparable.
For 27 years, those last two powerhouse brands were synonymous. However, yesterday brought the news that this iconic partnership has come to a close.
As Tiger noted in his released statement, he certainly isn’t done moving his golf career forward — “People will ask if there is another chapter. Yes, there will certainly be another chapter.”
So, until that chapter starts, take a moment to enjoy some of the most memorable moments shared between TW and the Swoosh. Just Do It.
HOMA HITS LONGEST DRIVE IN PGA TOUR HISTORY 💥

The PGA Tour started tracking distances via ShotLink in 2003. So while we technically don’t know that Max Homa’s 477-yard bomb was the longest ever, it’s probably safe to say that with the golf ball and club improvements made since then, no one on Tour has ever hit a ball FOUR HUNDRED AND SEVENTY-SEVEN yards during competition. WOW.
His response to the epic feat was spot-on, as usual:
