Jake Knapp secured his first PGA TOUR victory at the Mexico Open, a triumph he dedicated to his late grandfather Gordon Bowles, who passed away in April.

Despite facing a challenging start on Sunday, the 29-year old rookie stayed resilient and leveraged his short-game skills to propel him to victory (he had 9 up-and-downs on Sunday). Additionally, he received support from some unexpected sources, such as the Anaheim Ducks, with whom he has formed a partnership.

SUNSHINE STATE SWING BEGINS ☀️

The next four PGA Tour events will be played in Florida.

The PGA TOUR's Florida Swing starts at PGA National this week with the Cognizant Classic. Chris Kirk looks to defend his title, while Rory McIlroy aims for his first win of the season.

The event is crucial for players vying for a spot in the Arnold Palmer Invitational. The course has been modified to a par 71, and aside from McIlroy, the field now features notable players such as Matt Fitzpatrick and Tom Kim, alongside other top-ranked golfers.
