Malnati Punches Masters Ticket with Valspar Victory
Second PGA Tour Win, First Since 2015

PGA Tour veteran Peter Malnati clinched a hard-fought victory at the Valspar Championship on Sunday. The win not only secured him a spot in the Travelers Championship and all upcoming signature events but also granted him a two-year exemption on the Tour and a long-awaited invitation to the Masters.
After over 8 years since his first PGA Tour win, this victory was particularly gratifying, especially with his family present. It marked his first triumph as a father, adding an extra layer of sweetness to the day.

Now a decade into his PGA Tour career without competing in The Masters, he'll finally have the chance to vie for the coveted Green Jacket this April.
“I told them, ‘I want to go play Augusta when I’m in the Masters. That’s when I want to go play Augusta.”
Despite facing stiff competition from the likes of Cameron Young and Xander Schauffele, Malnati displayed remarkable composure, clinching the win with a crucial birdie on the 17th hole. It's a victory that he and his caddie, Chad Antus, will never forget. To top it off, Antus hadn't won a tournament in over 20 years of caddying.
