Talk about perfect timing! Rafael Campos turned a week that began with the birth of his first child into a fairy-tale finish at the Butterfield Bermuda Championship, capturing his maiden PGA TOUR victory in dramatic fashion.
The 36-year-old Puerto Rican, who entered the week at No. 147 in the FedExCup Fall standings after missing 13 of 14 cuts, fired a final-round 68 to secure a three-shot victory over Andrew Novak and vault to No. 80 in the standings.
Puerto Rican, Rafa Campos welcomes his first child on Monday and wins his first ever PGA Tour event on Sunday to book a spot at the 2025 Masters. What an incredible story! 🙌🇵🇷

The win, which comes just three months after the passing of Puerto Rican golf legend Chi Chi Rodriguez, not only guarantees Campos' TOUR card but also adds another chapter to golf's storied tradition of new fathers finding success – following in the footsteps of recent dad-to-be Scottie Scheffler.
From an induced labor on Monday to a champagne shower on Sunday, Campos' emotional triumph at Port Royal proved that sometimes the best things in life come in pairs.
The final curtain call of the 2024 PGA TOUR season arrives this week at The RSM Classic, where careers hang in the balance at Sea Island.
While the FedExCup trophy is already nestled safely in Scottie Scheffler's arms, there's still plenty at stake in Georgia – including the last chance for players to secure their TOUR cards by finishing inside the top 125, the coveted Aon Next 10 spots that grant access to early 2025 Signature Events, and the final testament to a remarkable rookie class headlined by Nick Dunlap's amateur-to-pro victory.
The tension will be palpable at Sea Island as 19 players between positions 122-140 – including veterans Gary Woodland and Daniel Berger – fight to keep their TOUR dreams alive before next month's Q-School finale.
KORDA’S MAGNIFICENT SEVEN
Nelly Korda continued her remarkable 2024 campaign, capturing her seventh LPGA title of the season at The ANNIKA driven by Gainbridge at Pelican in dramatic fashion.
The World No. 1 fired a clutch back-nine performance in front of her brother Sebastian, becoming the first American since Beth Daniel (1990) to win seven times in a single season and joining Yani Tseng (2011) in the record books.
