SUB 60 HEADLINES

Matt Fitzpatrick beat world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler on the first playoff hole at the RBC Heritage, draining a 13-footer for birdie after a 4-iron from 204 yards. Scheffler came up short — his second straight runner-up after the Masters.
Fitzpatrick's second win of 2026 and second Harbour Town title, both in playoffs, pushed him to a career-high No. 3 in the world and netted him $3.6 million from the $20 million Signature Event purse.
Scheffler's week was nearly flawless — bogey-free Sunday, elite scrambling — and he still lost. The No. 1 ranking isn't going anywhere, but wins aren't coming either. Si Woo Kim was third at -16; Morikawa, English, and Åberg shared fourth at -13.
RHAMBO ROUT
Over at LIV Golf Mexico City, Jon Rahm made it a rout — six shots at -21 at Club de Golf Chapultepec, pocketing $4 million. His Legion XIII squad swept the team event by nine. A dominant week with a noisy backdrop: fresh reports emerged that Saudi PIF may reduce LIV funding at season's end.
NEXT ON THE TEE: ZURICH CLASSIC OF NEW ORLEANS
The PGA Tour heads to New Orleans for the Zurich Classic (April 23–26, TPC Louisiana), the tour's only team event and a $9.5 million purse. Defending champs Ben Griffin and Andrew Novak are chasing history — no team has successfully defended since the format went team-only in 2017.
Top storyline: the Fitzpatrick brothers, Matt and Alex, teaming up fresh off Matt's Harbour Town win. Brooks Koepka and Shane Lowry also pair up after McIlroy withdrew.
