SUB 60 HEADLINES

Thomas Detry won the 2025 Waste Management Phoenix Open in a dominant fashion Sunday, finishing with a score of 18-under 266. His final round was a remarkable 5-under 66, which included a crucial stretch where he birdied four of the last five holes, notably on the famous 16th hole, where he nearly aced the shot. The victory was not only Detry's first on the PGA Tour but also made him the first Belgian to ever win a PGA Tour event.

In the final round, Detry maintained a five-shot lead going into the day, and despite some competition, he managed to extend his lead to seven strokes by the end, finishing ahead of Michael Kim and Daniel Berger, who tied for second at 17-under. His performance was highlighted by his ability to navigate the challenging back nine at TPC Scottsdale, especially under the pressure of the rowdy 16th hole.

According to Hoggard, multiple options have been presented to the Department of Justice for review, with the expectation that a deal will be finalized within this quarter.
This comes amidst ongoing discussions and negotiations that aim to integrate LIV Golf, backed by the Public Investment Fund, with the traditional PGA TOUR structure, marking a significant shift in the landscape of professional golf governance. We’ll see if it comes to pass.
