Inclement weather couldn’t stop Scottie Scheffler as he won again in dominating fashion at the RBC Heritage after finishing his final 3 holes on Monday morning due to the storms Sunday afternoon. This win marks his 4th win in 5 starts and becomes his 10th career victory on the PGA tour.
Scheffler’s consistency during this recent stretch of golf is truly remarkable, as his streak of consecutive rounds at even par or better improved to 40 over the weekend.
Scheffler's meteoric rise to stardom has been fueled by a combination of talent, relentless hunger for success, and love for the game.
With ten titles to his name in just three seasons, Scheffler has emerged as one of the most dominant forces on the PGA Tour and has drawn comparisons to the legendary Tiger Woods, a comparison that Scheffler himself humbly acknowledges but remains focused on forging his own path to greatness.
As Scheffler continues to rewrite the record books with each victory, speculation abounds about the trajectory of his career and whether he can sustain his remarkable run of form.
Scheffler's remarkable run of 10 wins has come in the February-to-April stretch, raising doubts about whether he can sustain his dominance throughout the rest of the PGA Tour season. However, history suggests it would be unwise to bet against him maintaining his elite level of play. With his unflappable mentality and exceptional skill, counting out Scheffler's ability to keep winning would be foolish.
KORDA CANNONBALLS AFTER MAJOR VICTORY
Nelly Korda secured her fifth consecutive LPGA victory at the 2024 Chevron Championship this weekend in Texas. Korda joins the elite company of Nancy Lopez and Annika Sorenstam as the only players to achieve five straight wins on the LPGA Tour.
At just 25 years old, Korda's prowess on the course has not only earned her 13 career titles but also secured her place among the elite few who have clinched two majors. She has quickly become the first true American powerhouse since the early '90s and is surpassing the expectations set by previous stars such as Michelle Wie West and Lexi Thompson.
Fans will need to wait to see if Korda can claim a 6th straight victory as she announced Monday she is withdrawing from the JM Eagle LA Championship to give her body a rest. Suppose there is anyone who deserves a break - it’s her!
The “Dad Bed” at the hospital may just be the only thing that can slow Scottie down . . .
