Rory McIlroy won his 26th victory on the PGA Tour this weekend at the Wells Fargo Championship and added another milestone to his illustrious career. The victory comes after an impressive final-round 66, holding off World #3 Xander Schauffle.
What's particularly remarkable is McIlroy's consistency over the past decade. Since 2009, he has rarely dropped out of the top 10 in the Official World Golf Rankings, setting him apart from his peers.
Now with 26 PGA Tour victories to his name, McIlroy is chasing the all-time leaders on the PGA Tour wins leaderboard. His career win rate of 10.5% surpasses that of his peers, highlighting his sustained excellence over the past decade.
The last time Rory McIlroy went into the PGA Championship at Valhalla, he had won his previous two events.

McIlroy's recent victory only raises expectations as he heads to the PGA Championship at Valhalla, the site of one of his previous triumphs. Despite recent disappointments in major championships, McIlroy's career trajectory suggests he is on course to join the ranks of the greatest golfers in history.
While there have been some bumps along the way, his recent victory is a reminder of his undeniable talent and ability to rise to the occasion when it matters most.
As he prepares for the PGA Championship, McIlroy remains focused on adding to his impressive list of accomplishments and solidifying his place among the game's all-time greats.
COURSE OF THE WEEK

#13 Hole at Valhalla Golf Club, nicknamed “The Limestone Hole”. It is the shortest par 4, at 355 yards, but is protected by an island green.
Valhalla Golf Club, Jack Nicklaus' famed design in Louisville, is no stranger to hosting golf's biggest events and creating indelible moments. Having witnessed Tiger Woods' epic 2000 duel and Rory McIlroy's 2014 triumph at the PGA Championship, as well as the U.S. Ryder Cup team's rousing 2008 victory, this 7,600-yard behemoth has etched its name in major championship lore.
With holes bearing mythological and boxing-inspired names (namely "Float like a Butterfly" and "Sting like a Bee"), Valhalla has humbled many a seasoned pro, except for young phenom Akshay Bhatia, who conquered it as a teenager at the 2018 Junior PGA Championship.
Now, after unveiling newly renovated zoysia fairways, Valhalla prepares to add another chapter to its storied history as it hosts the 2024 PGA Championship in May for the first time, promising an epic showdown where new legends will be forged.
1000% Yes!
A 15 hcp can hit a tour-level shot at any moment.
But an average baseball player can't throw a 95 mph heater or hit a 400-foot HR.
I think this is part of why golf drives us insane sometimes. We get glimpses of grandeur.
