Wyndham Clark went 15 holes on Sunday without a birdie and watched a five-shot lead at the BMW Championship evaporate. Then he slammed the door: a stuffed 5-iron on the 232-yard 16th, birdies at 17 and 18, and an even-par 70 for 17-under 263 — three clear of Patrick Cantlay, four ahead of Rory McIlroy. It's Clark's third win of the season and $3.6 million from the $20 million purse at Bellerive.

The bubble drama delivered too. Cantlay's runner-up finish rocketed him from 43rd into East Lake. Gary Woodland, three years removed from brain surgery, tied for fourth and reached the Tour Championship for the first time since 2019 (and didn't hide the tears).

Ryan Fox grabbed the 30th and final chair, while Rickie Fowler, Bud Cauley, and Kurt Kitayama were left standing. Scottie Scheffler, battling an illness all week, still tied for 12th; and still walks into Atlanta as the man to beat.

Indianapolis was supposed to be Jon Rahm's victory lap. Instead, 22-year-old rookie Michael La Sasso closed in 65 for 18-under, becoming the youngest winner in LIV's five seasons with his first professional victory, with Rahm charging home right behind him.

Rahm had already sewn up his third straight individual season title, and his Legion XIII squad took the team trophy at 44-under, six clear. With the Michigan team championship cancelled, that's a wrap on LIV's season.

Miyu Yamashita never trailed at the CPKC Women's Open. Rounds of 62-64-65-66 at Royal Mayfair in Edmonton added up to 23-under 257, tying the LPGA's 72-hole scoring record (and a nine-shot stroll past Yuri Yoshida for her fourth tour title).

The same week in Calgary, Steven Alker fired a Saturday 61 at Canyon Meadows, then beat Y.E. Yang with a seven-foot birdie on the first playoff hole at the Rogers Charity Classic — his second win of the year, twelfth of his career.

Tour Championship. East Lake. Thursday through Sunday. Thirty players, everybody starting at even par — no staggered strokes — 72 holes for the FedEx Cup and $10 million of a $40 million purse. Tommy Fleetwood defends, chasing something nobody has done: back-to-back FedEx Cups.
