New Zealander Ryan Fox Wins His 2nd Career PGA Title at the RBC Canadian Open
June 10, 2025
SUB 60 HEADLINES

New Zealand's Ryan Fox claimed his second PGA Tour victory—both coming this season—finishing at 18-under to defeat Sam Burns in a dramatic four-hole playoff.
Both Burns and Fox matched pars on the first 3 playoff holes, but Fox reached the green in two on the fourth and sank a birdie putt to clinch the title. His victory earned him over $1.7 million and 500 Fedex Cup points putting him in 25th place in the Fedex Cup race.
“That shot I hit on 18 ... probably the best shot I've ever hit."

Fox's win also lifted him into the top‑60 of the OWGR, securing an exemption into the upcoming U.S. Open. His best performance in the U.S. Open came in 2018 where he placed tied for 41st, but with his momentum this season he’ll have his sights set much higher than that.
US OPEN PREVIEW
The 125th U.S. Open tees off Thursday at Oakmont Country Club in Pennsylvania, where the course will host the championship for a record 10th time—more than any other venue in U.S. Open history.
The 156-player field includes defending champion Bryson DeChambeau, world No. 1 and PGA Championship winner Scottie Scheffler, and Masters champion Rory McIlroy.
The par-3 eighth at Oakmont was playing 289 yards today. 🤯 What club would you hit?

A record 10,202 players entered qualifying, breaking the previous mark set in 2023. Oakmont has been specifically designed to challenge the world's best golfers, with notoriously fast greens and demanding rough that promises to test every aspect of the game.
The championship runs June 12-15 with nearly 300 hours of live coverage across NBC Sports networks, making this golf's ultimate test of precision and mental fortitude.
Okay, Phil. 🤯
Phil Mickelson. Unbelievable.
