The FedExCup Fall opened in the Blue Ridge Mountains, and Jacob Bridgeman treated The Cliffs at Walnut Cove like a home game, because it basically was.

Five shots back to start Sunday at the inaugural Biltmore Championship Asheville, the South Carolina native went bogey-free for a career-best 10-under 61 to finish at 26-under 258, edging Ben James by two. James shot the exact same 61 in the final group and still came up short. Neal Shipley, the 54-hole leader, closed with a 69 to tie Ricky Castillo for third at 23-under.

J.T. Poston nearly stole the whole show, carding a 60 and burning the edge of the cup with a 25-foot putt on 18 that would have made it 59. He shared fifth with Presidents Cup pick Jackson Koivun.

It's Bridgeman's second title of the season and the Tour's sixth multiple-winner of 2026, with better timing than he could have scripted: he now heads to Medinah as a Presidents Cup rookie riding the best form of his year. First Tour stop in Asheville since 1942, when a guy named Hogan won it. No pressure. Winner's check: $900,000 of a $5 million purse.

No regular Tour stroke-play purse this week: it's Presidents Cup season. Medinah Country Club hosts September 24–27, U.S. captain Brandt Snedeker against International skipper Geoff Ogilvy.

The headline pick: 21-year-old Jackson Koivun, who turned pro in June, won the 3M Open three starts later, and wasn't even top 25 in points when Snedeker tapped him anyway. Bridgeman joins him as a Presidents Cup rookie, fresh off Asheville. LIV's 2026 season wrapped in August, so the fall calendar stays clear for Medinah and the return of stroke play.

Zach Johnson refuses to cool off. A week after winning the Sanford International, the Champions Tour rookie closed with a 7-under 65 in the Pebble Beach fog to win the Pure Insurance Championship at 14-under 202: his sixth title of the season, breaking a tie with Stewart Cink to sit alone atop this year's win list.

Rory Sabbatini made a late run with the round of the week, a 63, to join Henrik Stenson and Steven Alker two shots back. Six wins in fifteen starts as a rookie. Somebody check if he's human.
