John Rahm, LIV Golf team captain for Legion XIII, achieved a remarkable double triumph over the weekend. The Spanish golfer not only claimed victory at the LIV Golf Chicago event but also secured the season-long individual title.
Rahm's success comes with substantial financial rewards: $4 million for the Chicago win and an additional $18 million for the season-long championship. To commemorate his achievement, Rahm also received an official, one-of-a-kind Champion Ring. This impressive feat adds another accolade to the resume of the 2023 Masters Champion.

Despite a challenging start to his LIV debut, Rahm finished the season with a flourish, securing two wins and a runner-up position in his final three events—a streak that ultimately clinched him the individual title.
With the LIV season concluding this next weekend in Dallas (Team Competition), Rahm reflected positively on his inaugural year, acknowledging the tour's unique aspects compared to the PGA Tour while expressing his appreciation for the new experience.
“When it comes to golf, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Being able to go to Adelaide, Hong Kong, Singapore, and all those places in Asia and Australia was quite unique and so much fun.
I hadn't played in that part of the world, and to see the crowd, the love they had for us, and the support for the game was absolutely heartwarming just to be able to be a part of that.”

The U.S. Solheim Cup team ended a six-year drought on Sunday, defeating Europe 14.5-13.5 at Robert Trent Jones Golf Club in Virginia. Captain Stacy Lewis's squad dominated early, building a 6-2 lead after day one, but faced a late European charge in Sunday singles. Lilia Vu, just five months removed from a back injury, clinched the winning half-point with a clutch birdie on the 18th hole, capping off a dramatic finale.
The victory marks a potential turning point for the U.S. Solheim Cup program, blending veteran savvy with youthful talent. Megan Khang and rookie sensation Rose Zhang both finished the week with perfect 3-0-0 records, highlighting the team's depth.
Despite world No. 1 Nelly Korda suffering a surprising 6 and 4 loss to Charley Hull in Sunday's opening match, the Americans showcased resilience and teamwork throughout the event. As Captain Lewis aptly put it, "From the moment this team was together, they were together."
