SUB 60 HEADLINES

Justin Rose put on a clinic at the Farmers Insurance Open, going wire-to-wire and finishing at a tournament-record 23-under par to win by seven strokes. The 45-year-old Englishman broke Tiger Woods' 26-year-old scoring record of -22 and became the oldest winner in tournament history. Rose pocketed $1,728,000 for his 13th career PGA Tour victory—the most ever by an Englishman.

"Sorry, T-dub, if you're watching," Rose said after the round. The dominant performance moves him back into the top 10 in the world rankings.

The week's other headline? Brooks Koepka's return to the PGA Tour after 3.5 years on LIV Golf. Fans welcomed him with "Brooksy!" chants throughout the week. He finished T56 but made the cut, and his post-round moment walking to media while holding his 2-year-old son Crew was the feel-good story of the weekend.

KORDA CONQUERS THE COLD

Nelly Korda captured the Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions in Orlando, winning at 13-under after brutal weather shortened the event to 54 holes. Temperatures dropped to 23°F with wind chills around 11°F—Korda played the final round in earmuffs and gloves, firing an 8-under 64 to pull away from the field. The victory was her 16th career LPGA title and ends a winless drought that lasted all of 2025.

THE WEEK AHEAD

The PGA Tour heads to TPC Scottsdale for the WM Phoenix Open (February 5-8), golf's biggest party. The Stadium Course's legendary 16th hole will be rocking as Scottie Scheffler returns after winning The American Express two weeks ago. The field includes Xander Schauffele, Collin Morikawa, Viktor Hovland, Jordan Spieth, and Brooks Koepka making his second start back on Tour. Thomas Detry defends.

LIV Golf also kicks off Season 5 this week with the Riyadh event (February 4-7), featuring a new 72-hole format for the first time in league history.
